Non-Measurable Achievements
In a world busy measuring everything with numbers, I wanted to continue the conversation I started in “My Posts Are Performing” and spend some time looking at the immeasurable world.
This week I spoke to someone I know and care about, and I will share what I see over the past 2 years.
If one looks at them, they will see an overweight person.
The following is what I see that cannot be measured on any scale but is VERY REAL!
In the past 2 years, there has been a real shift. It is not linear and it is not visible to the naked eye.
But I can sense it!
She is gravitating towards books on self-growth and many other topics she is interested in.
She is not obsessing every moment on everyone else’s needs.
She is feeling more confident in herself.
She has more hope.
She is more motivated.
She is discovering what she likes, and what she does not like.
She is much kinder to herself.
She make jokes.
She feels angry when disrespected and validates herself.
She joined a group for the first time for physical activity.
She chose to spend money on something that she thinks can serve her.
She has more energy.
I bet if she walks into a doctor’s office today, or even if she interacts with certain people today, all they will see is the weight or numbers on a scale, which have not budged in the past 2 years.
This is what they will see because they are “blind” and cannot see movement or Life beyond the world of measuring.
And that’s where Life resides.
Thank you for being here in this space where I feel I can explore and share.
Wishing you a wonderful Sunday,
Sandy 🌹
Gratitude Section
Today I am feeling deep gratitude for artists and poets, who often dedicate themselves to sharing beauty with all of us. Galina Spivak designed the cover of POWER FULL for me and also gave me lovely art for my bedroom which I cherish and gives me serenity that cannot be measured.
