Believing in Someone
I have had so many life experiences filled with uncertainty, difficulty and overwhelm. In some of these moments, I was blessed with interactions with people who believed in me.
I’m not sure what they believed in exactly, but I think it was in my capacity; my capacity to find my way.
These interactions may not have been numerous compared to the other kinds of unhealthy interactions I’ve had, but they were, and still are, absolutely priceless!
I hold them dearly and carry them with me every day. They are ingrained in me and I am so grateful for them.
As many of you might already know, I am quite “allergic” to gaslighting, demeaning behavior and so on, and one of the reasons is that these have the opposite effect on people.
They send the message, consciously or not, that something about you does not make sense, is innately flawed or incapable.
It is now absolutely clear to me that believing in someone is a key component to healthy interactions! It is a basic form of respect and helps us discover ourselves, grow and learn.
And so, in line with the belief in my own capacities, and in yours, I am starting a Self-Leadership Group in Montreal at Meta1111.
This will be a place where we can learn from, and support each other on our courageous paths.
We need leaders in our world who are grounded, responsible, and capable of acting with integrity in times of uncertainty and change.
And we can be those leaders.
We begin January 25, 2026 at 2-4 pm and then will meet on most Sundays afterwards.
